Two Alabama Breweries Participating in “Ales for ALS” Charity Fundraiser

Two Alabama breweries are participating in the fifth annual Ales for ALS fundraiser.

Started in 2013 by hop producers B.T. Loftus Ranches, Inc. and Yakima Chief – Hopunion, the fundraiser raises money for ongoing research towards the development of new treatments and ultimately a cure for ALS.

Participating breweries are provided with a proprietary hop blend from both farms. Portions of proceeds from the sales of the resulting beer are donated to ALS Therapy Development Institute, a 501(3)c nonprofit based in Cambridge, MA.

Both Cahaba Brewing Company in Birmingham and Singin’ River Brewing Company in Florence are participating and expected to release their participating beers this summer.
